How Lettuce Pro Unlocks Healthcare and Saves on Taxes
An S Corp with Lettuce Pro Makes Healthcare Possible
As an S Corp with Lettuce Pro, you become your own employer and employee and start to pay yourself a salary. This payroll process isn’t just a tax strategy that saves you thousands–it also enables you to take part in other payroll-based benefits, including healthcare.
Our PEO Enables Benefits Access for Your S Corp
A PEO (Professional Employer Organization) uses a co-employment model to provide HR / payroll services and benefits to startups, small businesses, and even businesses of one.
Mid-sized start-ups already use PEOs through major payroll companies like ADP, Justworks, Rippling, and TriNet to provide healthcare and benefits to their employees.
Now, Lettuce has created a PEO to negotiate group-rate healthcare for Lettuce Pro members.
Watch Lettuce’s Mark Jackson break it down.
It all adds up to big savings
When you work for yourself, your taxes are your biggest expense. An S corp with Lettuce Pro reduces your self-employment tax, and increases your take home pay, letting Lettuce Pro customers save thousands every year.

Benefits FAQs
-
What is the “Baseline Visit” I have to complete with Curative?
All Curative members start with no out-of-pocket costs for covered care and preferred prescriptions. When would I get healthcare through Lettuce?
First, you need to be a Lettuce Pro customer, then you can enroll now for a coverage effective date of May 1, 2026.
Do not cancel any existing coverage until enrollment is finalized on approximately Apr 15, 2026. The Lettuce team will notify all enrolled customers via email once enrollment is complete. -
What will Premiums cost?
Healthcare will be an optional, additional fee on top of your Lettuce Pro membership.
Download the benefits guide to understand what the estimated premiums will be for yourself as an individual, you plus your spouse or children, or you plus your family. These rates are subject to change and will be finalized in the Enrollment Period. -
Can I add family members to my plan?
Yes! You are the covered member, in the PEO scenario called the “employee” because of the co-employment relationship and just like at a W2 job, there are different options for adding you plus your spouse (Employee + Spouse), your children (Employee + Children), or everyone (Employee + Family). There are different premium rates that you can see in the benefits guide.
-
If I cancel Lettuce, can I move back to the ACA?
Yes, because PEO is technically a form of employment relationship, canceling your Lettuce Pro subscription would be what is known as a “qualifying event” to make you eligible for ACA plans again outside the normal open enrollment window.
-
Do you also offer dental and vision coverage? Not yet, we are working on it and hope to add it later in Q2 2026.
-
